The goal of the design for the offices of online news service philly.com was to create an open environment conducive to the communication and collaboration needed for a frontline news provider. The 17,500 SF space features perimeter offices with glass partitions overlooking the main newsroom, drawing in natural light and promoting intra-office collaboration.

Low-partition, hexagonal workstation groups encourage the flow of ideas among the staff, and a central café offers employees a place to relax and rejuvenate. Muted primary colors, white oak slat accent walls, and colorful carpet inlays create a vibrant aesthetic that enhances the creative energy of the space. Value was a key component of the project, with special attention paid to maximizing the budget while preserving the integrity of the design.
